Wow, social mediaed today while I wrote. In other words, chatted with my old friend Sam on Facebook as I zapped in and out of the scene. I felt almost like I was cheating, but (a) I was flipping seamlessly between the two and (b) again, social media’s a big part of this theme, so living it while I was writing it is, I think, perfectly acceptable and even encouraged.
Finished a key scene, and am now floundering in the next. Luckily, the thrust of this next one is the two main characters trying to decide what to do that day, so the confusion and lack of direction might actually work as a pretty nifty literary device. I’m not banking on it, mind you. But it might.
Am very content sailing around here, running with the wind when they’re up, and drifting with the currents when they’re not.
And that’s all I have to say about that.
